BOBO'S NEW ZEALAND VACATION PAGE 3

As much as Bobo loves frolicing on the water, it can never hurt to
play it safe. Especially in New Zealand's roughest waters--The Cook Straight.
On the Interislander ferry between Wellington and Picton, Bobo gets the
SAFEST seat in the place on the life preserver. After all, there's still
a whole other island to explore.
|
|
Ahem. I think we may have walked into something here in the small town
of Nelson. New Zealand is famous for it's sheep after all.

For some reason, Bobo was a little tired the next day in Kaiteriteri. But
that's okay, because the beaches along the coast near the Able Tasman National
Park are unmatched in the south island. So perhaps an afternoon of some
rays is just what the doctor ordered.

|
You know you have a problem when you live in a place named "Foulwind".
This place stinks!!! So it's no wonder that Bobo was so eager to climb
up this sign to find the quickest way out of here. Although a little tough
to see in this picture, he's very partial to Paris, it's a little far. So
instead, he headed in the direction of Westport.

Just outside of Westport is a small coastal place known as Punakaiki.
Here Bobo takes time out to enjoy the blowholes at a spot known as Pancake
Rock. Hmmm, that makes our little pup hungry. Perhaps a roadside pub would
be in order. . .
|
|
Lake Mahinapua it is. Here Bobo poses with a New Zealand icon. Les
here owns the Mahinapua hotel. This rather eccentric old guy is known for
his pub which was featured in some very famous television advertisements
for cheese (even Bobo doesn't claim to understand--I think it's a Kiwi
thing!)
